Yogurt Scorecard

Which yogurt is the best? I have many patients coming in proud to announce that they have started eating yogurt. However, after more questioning, I realize that they are still consuming a heavily processed product with more nutritional claims than actual nutritional benefit. In general, I prefer homemade yogurt or kefir from raw milk. We have some really ancient cultures in our house and these produce some of the best fermentation that I've ever had. If this is not an option for you, I think organic whole milk kefir is a very good product. I sometimes am able to find Erivan yogurt here in Gainesville - this is a very good yogurt as well.
